Hello! This is AdPower Solutions.
We receive numerous inquiries every day about installation locations through the contact form on AdPower's official website and direct messages on our online store.
This time, we will introduce some vehicle models that frequently receive inquiries due to their unique air cleaner box shapes and special installation locations.
About AdPower Installation
General Rule:
First, let’s briefly introduce the standard installation process for AdPower.
The recommended number of units varies depending on the vehicle model. Please check the required quantity by selecting the manufacturer and model on this search page.
The basic installation consists of three simple steps:
① Open the hood
② Locate the air cleaner box
(The air cleaner is usually near the engine and looks like a box with a hose-like air duct attached.)
③ Attach AdPower to the air cleaner box on the side connected to the engine's air duct
That’s it! For detailed installation instructions and precautions, please check this installation page.
⚠️ Please note that once the product is applied, it cannot be repositioned or removed.
Special Case ①: BMW 3 Series
We occasionally receive inquiries about installing AdPower on the BMW 3 Series, not only from domestic customers but also from overseas customers in places like Singapore.
Below is an actual installation image for the BMW 3 Series F30-320i.
The required quantity is two units:
-
One unit should be placed on the lower left side of the air cleaner box, as shown in the left-side image.
-
The other unit should be installed at the tip of the yellow arrow in the left-side image, which is shown in a close-up in the right-side image.
Special Case ②: BMW M5 F10
Next, another frequently inquired BMW model is the M5 F10.
This model has a dual air cleaner system, with separate air cleaners on the left and right sides.
Two units are installed on each air cleaner, making a total of four units.
Special Case ③: Chevrolet Camaro A1X CE
The next special installation example we would like to introduce is the Chevrolet Camaro A1X CE.
In typical passenger cars, the air hose has a diameter of about 6 to 7 cm, but in the Camaro, it is roughly twice as thick (which contributes to its high power output).
Due to the larger air hose, the units are installed diagonally.
The required quantity for the Camaro A1X CE is three units.
Special Case ④: Carbureted car
The last vehicle we will introduce is a classic car equipped with a carburetor, still beloved by many car enthusiasts today.
Carbureted cars were gradually replaced by electronic fuel injection (EFI) from the late 1970s to the 1980s. Due to their poor fuel efficiency and difficulty in reducing emissions, they were no longer produced by around the year 2000.
However, among classic car enthusiasts, carbureted cars remain popular for their unique driving feel and ease of maintenance.
This time, we are introducing an installation example on a 1973 Volkswagen Type III.
The installation location is on the air duct below the air cleaner, after the air passes through the air filter (in this photo, the air filter is about the size of a cookie tin).
This car has air cleaners on both the left and right sides, with one unit installed on each side, totaling two units.
One important point to highlight is that AdPower’s electrostatic suppression effect also benefits carbureted cars.
In fact, the owner of this vehicle shared their positive experience, stating that the car's takeoff became smoother, acceleration improved, and the vehicle felt more powerful when climbing hills.
This time, we introduced special vehicle models with unique AdPower installation locations that differ from the standard method.
Why not try electrostatic suppression maintenance for your beloved car as well?
